Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) cadres vandalised the District Coordination Committee and Rajbiraj Municipality offices at Saptari's district headquarters of Rajbiraj on Thursday.

The SLMM cadres arrived at the Rajbiaj municipal office at first and shattered windows, doors, furniture and computers before moving on to the committee office chanting slogans. Upon arriving there, the cadres entered the accounts, administration and planning section offices and resorted to vandalism.

They had even padlocked both the offices earlier. The damage incurred in the vandalism is estimated at one million rupees, according to the employees.

The Morcha cadres also padlocked the District Land Reform Office for not collecting revenue under the previously existing structure. Land Reform Office Chief, Dadhiram Guragain, said the office will collect revenue as per the government's instruction. RSS
