Chief of Indian Army General Bipin Rawat has arrived in Kathmandu on his official visit of Nepal on Tuesday. Chief of Staff of Nepal Army Purna Chandra Thapa received Rawat in Tribhuvan International Airport.
As a tradition among the national defence force from two neighbouring countries President Bidhya Devi Bhandari will confer the decoration of honorary General of Nepal Army to Rawat amid a special program at Sheetal Niwas on Wednesday.
According to Nepal Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Jhankar Bahadur Kadayat, Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri will be hosting dinner for his counterpart in his residence on Tuesday evening.
