Whereabouts of a Nepal Army soldier, who disappeared after jumping into the Narayani River along with his girlfriend, is still unknown.
Saroj Pokharel, 22, of Bharatpur-21 had jumped into the river with Samjhana Poudel, 18, of Bharatpur-22 at the Devghat stretch in Bharatpur Metropolitan City – 1 on Saturday afternoon.
Police personnel with the help of locals, however, rescued Poudel unharmed, DSP Deepak Shrestha of the District Police Office, Chitwan, informed.
Pokharel was stationed at the Disaster Management Battalion of Nepal Army in Rasaili of Chitwan
Police said that they are investigating into the case. RSS
