Two policemen among 4 held for abduction

Claiming himself as a policeman of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) Raj Kumar Gurung aka Kumar among others had abducted Badri Rai, proprietor of the Dhumbarahi-based Tiger Overseas Pvt. Ltd, police said.
Prior to the abduction, Rai used to get phone calls from unknown numbers asking about Phurba Sherpa, involved in gold smuggling.
Rai was taken to the Sinamangal-based Bajeko Sekuwa, a popular restaurant in Kathmandu, after the abduction, police said.
The abductors had taken Rs 230,000 in cash from Rai and forced him to sign cheques for Rs 10 million and Rs 2.5 million.
