Police on Wednesday arrested an Indian man in possession of 307 kg marijuana from Makawanpur.
According to SP Basanta Kumar Lama of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, the suspect has been identified as Ashok Kumar Dube of Champaran, Motihari, India.
Police said that they arrested Dube while he was transporting the contraband drug to India via Birgunj on a truck (WB 11 8524).
Dube and the seized marijuana were made public amid a press conference at the DPO today itself.
