Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum-Nepal (SSF-N), a key constituent of the agitating Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM), on Wednesday withdrew its support to the current government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
SSF-N Chief Whip Shivaji Yadav handed over a withdrawal letter signed by its parliamentary party leader Ashok Rai to Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar this afternoon.
The party has 15 lawmakers in the Parliament. The SSF-N on August 2, 2016 had decided to support the government.
The SSF-N decided to withdraw its support to the government after the seven-day ultimatum issued by the SLMM to the government to address its demands expired on Tuesday.
