Speaking during a press meet organised at Rajbiraj prior to the funeral procession of the deceased during the Maleth incident on Sunday, chairman Yadav said that the Madhesi people will respond to the government’s treatment towards them adding that the Sanghiya Gathabandhan and Madhesi Morcha is planning to hold nationwide programmes of protest.
He added that they will continue their protest until the discrimination and inequality will remain in Madhes. “The CPN-UML leaders misbehaved with the Madhesi people in the past and that results in the anti-UML sentiment in Madhes,” he said.
Likewise, Chairman Yadav ruled out the relevance of the elections as the country had entered in federal set up. He added that they will obstruct the elections if it was held without their consent.
Similarly, Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato said that they will expose the racist attitude and behaviour of the government in the international community. Speaking in the press conference in Rajbiraj on Sunday, Mahato said that they are going to organise strong protest programmes this time. “Saptari incident is the outcome of UML’s ego and worthless racist attitude,” said Mahato.
Yadav and Mahato were in Saptari to attend a mass funeral procession of five persons who were killed in police firing. The mass funeral rally was organised in Saptari on Saturday.
When quizzed about the Indian Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) shooting of a Nepali national at Kanchanpur, the SSFN chairman said, “The government should investigate and answer the people regarding the Kanchanpur incident as India has denied opening fire.”
