Cold snap adds to misery of quake-displaced

The cold snap has mostly affected children and senior citizens. Quake survivor Nima Ghale of Salme-9 said people are making bonfire to keep themselves warm. Bhalche, Kimtangdanda, Shikharbesidanda, Kadeni in Gaunkharka, Kutungsang, Rauchuli in Ghyangphedi and Salme, among other areas, are covered with snow.
Similarly, the displaced quake victims who had shifted from Haku to Dhunche, the district headquarters of Rasuwa, said they had been affected by a sudden drop in temperatures accompanied by cold winds.
Some 2,500 quake-affected families are living in the mobile camps in and around Dhunche. (PR)
