A group of three unidentified persons vandalised a truck at Bahraghare in Bharatpur-5 of Chitwan district on Saturday.
Police suspect that the cadres of Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist might have vandalised the truck (Na 5 Kha 7241) for defying banda.
The Maoist party had called the banda today to protest the Kanchanpur incident.
Gobinda Gautam, 32, of Ananda Bazaar, Punarbas Municipality-8, Kanchanpur district was killed after India’s Seema Sashastra Bal (SSB) allegedly opened fire at border on Thursday.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, nine-year-old Srijana Sharma, who was travelling in the truck, sustained a minor injury on her head.
She is receiving treatment at the Chitwan Medical College.
