PM Modi’s security advisor Ajit Doval made a telephone call to Prime Minister Dahal on behalf of Modi at 2pm on Friday to convey his sadness over the death and express condolence to the bereaved family.
In his telephone conversation, Doval said the Indian authorities have initiated investigation into the incident. He requested PM Dahal for diplomatic support and coordination and to share post-mortem report of the deceased to facilitate the investigation process.
PM Dahal, in response, said Thursday’s incident at Kanchanpur was very serious and assured to support the Indian government in its probe. He also told Doval that Nepal government expected Indian government to take action against the guilty after the investigation.
