“The party will not move ahead without rules and regulations,” he said during a programme organised in Pokhara on Thursday.
Cases of violating the party’s norms have been increasing of late, the former Prime Minister said, adding, some cadres were found betraying their own candidates in the past.
"Anyone who doesn’t comply with the party’s rule will face stern action," he said.
Leader Deuba also urged the party cadres to work unitedly and choose best candidates for the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, he said that the NC should win the elections with majority votes to strengthen democracy and establish the people’s rights.
Speaking with journalists after the programme, leader Deuba urged the main opposition CPN-UML to help amend the constitution to address the demands of agitating Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha.
