Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has urged the Madhesi Morcha not to obstruct the Mechi-Mahakali campaign being organised by the main-opposition CPN-UML.Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has urged the Madhesi Morcha not to obstruct the Mechi-Mahakali campaign being organised by the main-opposition CPN-UML.
Speaking during a press meet at Biratnagar on Friday, PM Dahal said that everyone had the right to take their view to the people in a democracy urging the Madhes-based parties not to impede the UML’s programme. He further said that the government will take all necessary precautions to make the opposition's campaign peaceful.
Likewise, PM Dahal said that the local level election slated for May 14 will take place saying that Madhes-based parties will also take part in the polls.
The Prime Minister said that even if the constitution is not amended the dissenting Madhes-based parties would take part in the upcoming polls after increasing the number of local units in Tarai. He, however, did not specify the increment number of the local units.
