Police have arrested a person on the charge of raping a 13-year mentally ill girl of Thaprek-8 in Tanahun district on Tuesday.

The arrested is Ali Mohammad Miya, 52, of Shyamgha-1, said Sub-Inspector at the District Police Office, Tanahun, Manoj Pandey.

Miya, who came there as a guest, raped the girl on Monday night. Miya was arrested with the help of locals.

Pandey said that a team of police arrested Miya from Thaprek. The girl has been sent to Damauli Hospital for health check up and investigation into the case was underway, according to the District Police Office, Tanahun. RSS
