A woman died and a man sustained critical injuries when a bus hit a bike they were riding on at Machhapokhari in Balaju of the Capital on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as pillion rider Ganga Phuyal, 35, of Tarkeshwor Municipality.
Police said that biker Raj Kumar Phuyal, 38, was injured in the incident.
He is receiving treatment at the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).
The bus (Na 3 Kha 6216) hit the two-wheeler (Ba 72 Pa 6661) this morning.
