The Legislature-Parliament meeting scheduled for 2 pm on Wednesday has been postponed for the next day.
House Speaker Onsari Gharti has summoned the Parliament meet at 3 pm tomorrow.
In a notice, the Parliament Secretariat said that the House meeting was deferred due to a “special reason”.
The House meeting was postponed as the main opposition party, the CPN-UML stuck to its stance that the constitution amendment proposal should not be moved ahead until the Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha gives its commitment to accept whatever the outcome once the proposal is put to vote in the Parliament.
