The District Education Office (DEO), Bara this fiscal year has received over 200 complaints relating to the alleged misappropriation of scholarship fund meant for students from the Dalit community.
We have received quite a high number of complaints of misuse of dalit scholarship. The fellowship is allocated to 422 schools across the district for Dalit students, DEO Chief Dhan Prasad Pokhrel said.
Now, the Office is busy looking into such complaints and 60 have been sorted out. Such complaints have been registered at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education as well, he said. RSS
