Kathmandu
Expressing its serious disappointment over the announcement of date for local polls by the government, the Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) has announced protest programmes.
A meeting of the alliance held at the Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party office in Kathmandu this evening decided to resort to protest saying that the government hurried to announce the date for the local poll without forwarding constitution amendment proposal.
A leader aligned to the Madhesi front said the SLMM will stage its phase-wise protest programme from Tuesday.
Saying the SLMM was not in favour of the election in the status quo, he said that they would launch agitation until the constitution amendment proposal was forwarded.
