Kamal Thapa has been elected as the Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party defeating his rival candidate by a huge margin of votes.
During the election held at the party general convention in the Capital, Thapa secured 2804 votes of the total 3136, RPP Central Committee member Rajaram Bartaula said.
Another contender for the post, Pradip Bikram Rana secured only 251 votes. Eightyone votes were dismissed.
