Police recently arrested a man on the charge of attempted rape in Khotang district.

Min Bahadur Puri, 30, of Bakachol-7 in the district was arrested for trying to rape a 17-year-old girl.

According to the Area Police Office, Aiselukharka, the incident occurred while the she was heading to her college.

She is a 12^th grader at the Tribhuvan Secondary School.

Police said that the girl has been sent to the District Hospital for health check-up.
