Newly appointed Inspector General of Armed Police Force (APF) Singha Bahadur Shrestha was conferred insignia on Tuesday.
A Cabinet meeting held on February 12 had appointed Shrestha to the top post of paramilitary force.
At a special function organised at the Ministry of Home Affairs today, Home Secretary Lok Darsan Regmi conferred the insignia on Shrestha.
During the programme, Shrestha said he would carry out all the tasks assigned by the government with sincerity.
