Kaski district has produced oranges worth Rs 140 million this year. The district produced 6,200 metric tonnes of oranges.
According to Information Officer at the District Agriculture Development Office, Narayan Jung Khatri, a total of 6,500 metric tonnes of oranges was produced last year.
Khatri said that oranges production decreased this year as compared to previous year due to unfavourable climate. Oranges was cultivated on 780 hectare of land in the district this year.
Khalte, Thumki, Bharatpokhari, Nirmalpokhari, Kristinachnachour and Salyan in the district are the pocket areas for orange production. RSS
