Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi on Tuesday directed the chiefs of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (AFP) to control financial crimes, gold smuggling and drugs smuggling.
Minister Nidhi directed Nepal Police officiating Chief Dinesh Chandra Pokharel and APF Chief Sindha Bahadur Shrestha during a meeting held this afternoon.
Shrestha was appointed as the APF Chief on Sunday while Pokharel as the Nepal Police officiating chief yesterday.
On the occasion, Minister Nidhi directed the chiefs of two security agencies not to bow down to the pressure of any political parties while carrying out duties.
