The National Seismological Centre (NSC) has recorded an earthquake of local magnitude 4.1 in Darchula district at 11:13 am on Friday.
It was a fresh tremor, not an aftershock of the April 25 earthquake, the NSC said.
According to the NSC, its epicentre was close to Hikila VDC of the district.
No human casualties or property damage were reported.
