Expressing dissatisfaction over the appointment of judges at high courts, a group of lawyers representing the Madhes Community on Thursday staged a demonstration in front of the office of Nepal Bar Association (NBA).
The lawyers from province No. 2 had participated in the protest programme.
The lawyers said that they were forced to stage the demonstration after the NBA, which had started the protest programme regarding the appointment, withdrew it without addressing the demand.
The lawyers have been demanding that the judges be appointed on the basis of proportional inclusion.
The legal entrepreneurs have also warned that they would soon organise a programme to give up the membership card issued by the NBA.
