Close emergency gate of TIA, House panel tells govt

The Good Governance and Monitoring Committee of the Legislature-Parliament on Thursday directed the government to close the emergency gate of Tribhuvan International Airport, the only international airport in the country.
The House panel also urged the government to install x-ray machines in all the entrances.
Mohan Singh Rathor, President of the House committee among other officials had inspected the TIA today and issued such directive.
He informed that the directive was issued to control illegal activities taking place in the TIA.
Earlier on January 5, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) had confiscated 33 kg gold from the TIA that had passed undetected through the customs.
