A person died and another sustained critical injuries when two trucks collided with each other in Lahan of Siraha district along the East-West Highway on Thursday.

According to the Area Police Office, Lahan, the deceased has been identified as truck driver Hari Bahadur Lo of Aambhanjyang-4, Makwapur.

Police said that Ramesh Chaulagain of Hetauda-19 was seriously injured in the incident.

The truck ( Ba 4 Kha 712) heading towards west from east collided head-on with another truck ( Na 5 Kha 1925) this morning, police informed.

Chaulagain is receiving treatment at the Lahan-based Uma Memorial Hospital.
