Democracy Day Main Celebration Committee formed

The committee meeting chaired by PM Dahal on Tuesday has decided to mark the 67th Democracy Day across the country and in all Nepali missions abroad from The National Democracy Day Celebration Main February 17 to 19 in a grand way.
The meeting endorsed the Home Ministry's proposal to keep the Kathmandu Valley including metropolis, sub-metropolis and municipalities neat and clean with national flags hoisting, make public announcement through media calling for public to participate in the celebration and disseminate talk programme via Radio Nepal on February 17.
On February 18, a main function would be held at Open Theatre, Tundikhel in the morning in presence of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
Likewise, the day would mark Nepal Army's activities including trumpet blowing and gun salute and offering prayers wishing for the eternal peace of the departed soul of martyrs.
The meeting also formed a publicity committee headed by Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki to celebrate the day in a grand manner.
Meanwhile, on the occasion, the Prime Minister suggested to revise the national calendar holiday.
