Talking to journalists in Hetauda, Makwanpur district on Friday, Chairman Thapa said although the government's letter to Election Commission urging it to prepare for election is laudable, the letter is incomplete and contradictory.
"The letter has not clearly indicated if it is local entity or local body election. It also lacks exact date for election," said Chairman Thapa. He accused the government of not being enthusiastic towards holding elections.
Saying that it would not be possible to implement the constitution until the issues raised by Madhes-based parties were settled, Chairman Thapa said, "PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal does not seem proactive in endorsing the constitution amendment bill registered at the Parliament."
The former Deputy Prime Minister Thapa also said they would not participate in the incumbent government. "It is likely that our party could recall its ministers from current government," said Thapa.
