Addressing the conference of party’s youth wing after the unity among 10 different Maoist forces on Tuesday, PM Dahal said the government was preparing to announce the date of the local elections soon and the election would be the struggle between the regressive and progressive forces.
PM said the government was trying to create unity among the Mountains, Hills and Tarai but some forces have been creating rightist wave in the guise of nationalism.
The Maoist Centre has formed the unified committee of the controversial youth wing YCL with an intent to mobilise former combatants in the upcoming elections.
PM Dahal has urged the YCL to canvas for their candidates in the upcoming polls of Free Students Union to “safeguard the revolutionary students”.
The conference was, however, boycotted by the representatives of the YCL members close to Matrika Yadav.
