Dharan in-charge of the CPN-UML-affiliated Youth Associa-tion Nepal sustained critical injuries in a clash with the Nepali Congress activists in Dharan on Sunday night.
YAN leader Dibas Rai sustained serious injuries in the incident, said police. A group led by NC activist Santosh BK allegedly assaulted Dibas with a Khukuri. Security personnel took the injured to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences as they found him lying on the street. Dibas has got deep cuts in his head, neck, shoulder, nose and right arm. According to police, the clash ensued when both the factions came together at Shivamarga to settle a dispute between two persons. Another person also sustained minor injuries in the clash. Police held BK for an investigation.
