A couple was found dead in an apparent suicide pact at Biring River in Kankai Municipality-7, Jhapa, on Friday. The bodies of Ishwor Bhattarai, 25, and his girlfriend Asmita Tolami, 23, were found hanging from a tree by some locals. Police suspected that the couple could have taken their lives because the woman’s parents had arranged her marriage with someone else. (PR)
