A total of 584,352 individuals registered their events over the past seven months this year. The vital events as birth, death, marriage, migration and divorce were registered at the wards, VDCs, municipalities and district offices under the Department of Civil Registration. Department’s Information Officer Khil Prasad Subedi said the events were registered between Nepali month of Baisakh and Kartik (mid-April to mid-November). The record of the total registered events showed that 389,450 were born, 58,937 died, 99,013 married, 35,972 migrated, while 980 couples divorced.
