A motorcyclist and his wife were killed on Wednesday morning when a tipper rammed their bike at Bayerban – 9 along the East – West highway.
An unidentified tipper heading west hit the motorbike (Ko 22 Pa 4384) coming from the opposite direction at 6 am killing Dhan Kumar Rai, 45, and his wife, Bishnu Maya, 35, living at the Bhutanese Refugee Camp in Pathari Sanischare – 8.
The husband died on the spot while his wife, who was a pillion rider, succumbed to injuries at the Dharan-based BP Institute of Health Sciences at 8 am, said Sub Inspector of Police, Raj Kumar Basnet, of Area Police Office, Pathari. The police have launched a search to find the tipper along with its driver. RSS
