Dhangadhi (kailali)
Kailali remains shut on Sunday to protest against the alleged slaughters of cows. The shutdown has been called by various Hindu organisations demanding prompt investigation into the incident and action against the guilty.
Many cows were found dead in the vicinity of Bhayagute section under Dhangadhi-Dadeldhura road five days ago, the local people said. The dead cows were buried later.
It has been said that some stray cows and oxen were transported on a truck and dumped at an area of Bedkot Municipality of Kanchanpur.
As a result of the shutdown, transportation has come to a halt while the market remained shut.
Kailali police said investigation into the incident was going on. RSS
