Inaugurating Dhading fest on Thursday, PM Dahal said that although opposition parties have the right to support or reject any proposal registered at the Parliament through democratic procedures, CPN-UML, the main opposition party, are afraid to come to the Parliament. Instead they resorted to protest by giving up the established system, he added.
Saying that opposition has been blaming him for the things he had not done, PM Dahal, also the chairman of ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) said, "They even accused me of selling Lumbini and trying to grant national recognition to Hindi language."
The Prime Minister further said that his strategy was to balance relationships between two powerful neighbours. He highlighted that Nepal cannot march ahead without the support of these nations.
He added that Madhesi, Tharu, Adivasi, among other groups, will gradually come to terms with the constitution amendment proposal and eventually strive for the implementation of the constitution.
