Tiwari’s hunger strike gets students’ backing

They have demanded the government to address Tiwari’s demands without further delay.
Tiwari, who is also the chairman of Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Gajendrabadi), demanded, among others, filling doctors’ vacancies, expediting the construction of hospital infrastructure and providing safe drinking water and nutritious meals on the hospital premises.
A team, led by the chief of Eastern Regional Health Directorate, Dr Mahesh Khanal, visited Tiwari to inquire about his demands and health condition on Tuesday.
Tiwari has said that he will end the hunger strike only if Home Minister Gagan Thapa
visits him personally and assures to address his concerns regarding the hospital services.
