At least 22 people have died after a passenger bus plunged into Trishuli River along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section early on Friday morning.

The ill-fated bus ( Ga 1 Kha 3709) en route to Pokhara from Gaur, Rautahat fell some 200 meters off the road at Chandibhanjyang-6 into Trishuli River at around 3 am this morning killing 21 people including two women on the spot and injuring 17 others, Chitwan Police Chief SP Basanta Kunwar said.

One of the injured succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.

Police say they have so far identified 18 bodies and remaining are yet to be ascertained. Here is a list of deceased person.
