Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli officially stepped down on Sunday nine months after assuming the post.
The prime minister tendered his resignation to President Bidya Devi Bhandari prior to his address at the Legislature-Parliament. PM Oli informed about his resignation while responding to the no-confidence motion filed against him at the House meeting.
The House meeting today held final deliberations on the no-confidence motion against Oli-led Cabinet tabled by main opposition Nepali Congress and former coalition partner CPN (Maoist Centre).
