Wild fire spreading in different parts of Nawalparasi in this dry season has so far claimed seven deer including the spotted ones.
Fire spread in the forests in the district has killed seven deer in a period of two months, the District Forest Office Nawalparasi said.
It may be noted that about 40 hectares of forest area has already been burnt down by the fire since the starting of this summer. Young plants and herbs of significant value were destroyed in the bushfire, according to Office Assistant Forest Officer Pramod Bhattarai. The district has 122,365 hectares of forest. RSS
