The Leurani locals welcomed the visiting royal with a rhododendron bouquet. Prince Harry briefly talked to the earthquake affected locals in the area and also met with the family members of British Gurkhas.
He also attended a cultural programme that was organised by the villagers in his honour.
Officials said Harry stayed the night in the village with the family of Gamdu Tamang, a former British Gurkha soldier.
He is scheduled to visit Gauda Secondary School in Okhari on Tuesday morning to celebrate Holi festival with the students there before returning to Kathmandu in the afternoon.
Earlier on Monday, the British prince visited Bardiya National Park where he enjoyed a boat ride and jungle safari. He also toured a Tharu settlement and met the locals there.
