Two held with red panda hides in Jhapa

The personnel from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police and the Area Police Office, Birtamod, have arrested two persons with two raw hides of endangered species red panda.
Those arrested are Suk Bir Rai of Phalincha VDC-9 in Panchthar and Kamal Kumar Mangmu of Sadeba VDC-4 in Taplejunj. Mangmu is currently living at Shaniarjun VDC in Jhapa district, it is said. The police on Sunday made public to the arrested two and submitted to the District Forest Office, Jhapa, for further actions.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Dibesh Lohani said that Rai and Mangmu were arrested based on tip off that the smugglers were planning to supply the red panda hides to the capital city. RSS
