Chairman of Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal (SSFN), Upendra Yadav, has remarked that the current constitution should be redrafted.
Saying that each and every state body needs to be inclusive in order to create a peaceful, stable and prosperous Nepal, leader Yadav claimed that the current constitution doesn’t have these provisions which is why it would not be implemented.
“This is the age of inclusive democracy,” said leader Yadav, addressing an assembly organised to support the demand for Tamuwan and Magarat province. “But the current constitution should be changed as it has failed to accept the principle of inclusivity.”
He said that the current problems facing the nation should be resolved internally. “War, agitation, or problem, whatever we call, it is our own. And it should be resolved from here. It is not necessary to invite foreigners to settle it,” said leader Yadav.
He said that the Madhes-centric parties were ready to withdraw the agitation if the agreements signed with Madhesi parties and indigenous groups were implemented.
Leader Yadav alleged that the government doesn’t have any agenda though they held 14 rounds of talks with the government. He claimed that he found the government doesn’t want to end the agitation.
