Gaur
Youths aligned with Tarai-Madhes National Campaign staged a symbolic ‘corpse rally’ against the government indifference to the issues of agitating Madhes-based parties in Gaur on Thursday.
As part of a symbolic protest, the youths paid their final respects to the cadres of Madhesi parties killed during the ongoing Madhes movement. Youths lied on the street at Madhes Kiranti Chok, covering their bodies with white clothes and spilling red powder over it in memory of those deceased.
District coordinator of the campaign, Rabindra Nath Gopali said that the demonstration was carried out to draw the attention of the government which is turning a blind and deaf ear to the demands of Madhesi people.
