The Nepal–India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI) and the Nepal Business Institute (NBI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly organise the Nepal Business Summit 2026, scheduled for May 18. The agreement was signed at the NICCI Secretariat in Narayanchaur, Naxal, by Kunal Kayal, vice president of NICCI, and Bishal Gaire, executive chairperson of NBI, marking a step toward strengthening Nepal’s business ecosystem.
The two organisations said the summit aims to serve as a platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange, bringing together policymakers and practitioners. It will feature panel discussions designed to bridge gaps between policy and practice, as well as ideation and implementation, with the goal of producing consolidated recommendations aligned with international best practices.
Speaking at the signing, Kayal said the summit could help develop a comprehensive roadmap for policy formulation and implementation, supporting Nepal’s broader economic transformation goals.
Under the partnership, NICCI and NBI will collaborate to promote both domestic and international business engagement, positioning Nepal as an attractive investment destination. The summit is also expected to bring together a wide range of stakeholders, including sector representatives, policymakers, bureaucrats, diplomats, business leaders, development partners and academicians.
