Twenty-seven Kavya School teachers have received Educator Level 1 and Level 2 certificates from Google upon successful completion of the courses. The skills entail implementation of Google for Education tools.
At a ceremony organised at the school in Kathmandu on Sunday, founder principal Nawaraj Baskota praised the teachers for their achievement and encouraged them to use the skills for effective instruction. The school takes immense pride in the commitment and professionalism shown by the educators in embracing modern teaching methodologies for delivering quality education and preparing students for a dynamic future, he said.
In the era of AI-driven digital interaction, technological proficiency is not just an added advantage but a necessity, a certified Google instructor present on the occasion said. Mastery of digital tools empowers educators to create engaging, collaborative, and innovative learning experiences, according to Sagun Dhungana, a Google-certified educator and trainer based in Kathmandu who conducted occasional workshops for the teachers.
Arjun Thapa Magar, one of the teachers certified on Sunday, said that in this rapidly advancing digital era, connecting with ICT has become essential for every teacher to oversee effective and meaningful learning. The use of tools such as Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Forms has transformed modern teaching by making lessons more collaborative. These tools not only enhance student engagement and simplify assessment but also enable teachers to manage classrooms efficiently, provide instant feedback, and access a wide range of global resources, Magar shared his experience.
Eighteen of the teachers completed both levels.
