Gold and silver prices continue upward trend

Gold and silver prices have risen again in the domestic market, with gold increasing by Rs16,300 per tola (11.663 grams) in a week.
On Monday, gold was traded at Rs283,900 per tola in the Nepali market. Today, the price reached Rs290,200 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, marking an increase of Rs6,700 per tola.
Similarly, silver price also rose. The price of silver increased by Rs145 per tola today, reaching Rs4,845 per tola. It was traded at Rs4,700 per tola on Monday. Over the past week, silver has increased by Rs340 per tola.
Internationally, the gold price has also been on the rise. According to Reuters, gold has climbed near record levels in the global market as investors turn to the metal amid expectations of interest rate cuts in the United States and ongoing geopolitical tensions.
Reuters further noted that uncertainty surrounding the US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy has boosted demand for precious metals, putting additional pressure on global gold and silver prices.
