A Chinese medical equipment manufacturer has appointed WRG Medtech Solutions Pvt Ltd as its national distributor and partner in Nepal, in a move aimed at expanding access to advanced healthcare technologies.

The agreement was announced during a recent visit by a delegation from Shenzhen-based Comen Medical Instruments Co Ltd (COMEN) led by its chairman, Yi Yong, which met hospital officials and healthcare professionals in Kathmandu.

Under the arrangement, WRG Medtech will oversee market development, distribution, technical support and after-sales services across Nepal, while coordinating with existing channel partners as sub-distributors. The company said the new structure is expected to streamline operations and improve service delivery.

During the visit, the delegation toured several hospitals in the capital and exhibited equipment used in patient monitoring, intensive care, critical care and neonatal services. Healthcare professionals expressed interest in the products, citing their suitability for Nepal’s needs.

Yi said the company plans to support the sector not only through equipment supply but also through training and technical collaboration with healthcare providers.

Industry observers note that Nepal’s healthcare sector has seen growing investment in recent years, particularly in critical care and maternal and child health, driving demand for advanced but cost-effective medical technologies.

WRG Medtech said it aims to build a nationwide service network and work closely with healthcare institutions to ensure the reliable supply and maintenance of equipment.

Comen Medical Instruments is a Shenzhen-based medical technology company with operations in over 150 countries, supplying equipment to hospitals worldwide.

The partnership is expected to improve the availability of medical equipment and support the modernisation of healthcare services in Nepal.
