Nepse jumps 28.73 points as all sectoral groups post gains

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) surged by 28.73 points on Sunday, marking a 1.10 percent rise compared with the previous trading session. With the gain, the benchmark index closed at 2,639.37 points.
According to market data, share prices of 214 listed companies increased, 37 remained unchanged, while only 8 recorded a decline—reflecting broad-based positive sentiment across the trading floor.
A total of 84,990 transactions were executed, during which 12,459,951 shares changed hands. The day’s turnover stood at Rs6.47 billion, significantly higher than recent sessions and indicating heightened investor activity.
All 13 sectoral sub-indices closed in positive territory, a rare full-spectrum rise that contributed to the strong upward movement of the benchmark index.
Five companies—Sagar Distillery, SY Panel Nepal, Srinagar Agritech Industries, Bandipur Cable Car & Tourism, and Ruru Hydropower Project—hit the upper circuit limit after their share prices spiked by the maximum allowed 10 percent.
The combination of widespread gains and strong turnover reflects renewed confidence among investors, following a week marked by volatile trading.
