TNA Invest Limited welcomes new institutional investors
Its sector-agnostic portfolio favours technology-driven and disruptive companies.Post Report
TNA Invest Limited (TNA-I) has onboarded three major Nepali insurance companies—Shikhar Insurance, Surya Jyoti Life and Citizen Life—as new institutional shareholders as part of its plan to raise its paid-up capital to Rs1 billion.
The investment firm, which converted into a public limited company earlier this year, is the investment arm of True North Associates (TNA), a pioneer in Nepal’s private equity and venture capital industry. Operating as a permanent capital vehicle, TNA-I invests in early-stage, high-potential businesses.
Its sector-agnostic portfolio favours technology-driven and disruptive companies. According to the company, it has invested in 10 ventures to date and successfully exited six, underscoring its ability to identify and scale promising enterprises.
Its current portfolio includes Sajilo Sewa, Foodmandu, Nepal Warehousing Company and Kathmandu Lanco. With the new capital infusion, TNA-I plans to expand its investments into high-growth sectors such as agro-processing, technology, energy, tourism and hospitality, and manufacturing, areas it says align with Nepal’s emerging economic opportunities.
