Nepse climbs 6.5 points as turnover slips below Rs6 billion
Benchmark index closes at 2,776.90 with gains in 142 companies, but daily transactions ease compared to Monday.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) inched higher on Tuesday, adding 6.51 points to close at 2,776.90. The benchmark index rose by 0.23 percent from the previous day.
The stock exchange data reveal that the share prices of 142 companies advanced while 107 declined.
A total of 131.24 million shares were traded through 61,784 transactions, amounting to Rs5.63 billion.
Turnover was lower than on Monday, when Rs6.17 billion worth of shares had been traded.
All sectoral sub-indices posted gains, with life insurance, production and processing, development banks, investment, others, and trade groups leading the upward movement.
